These ‘naughty feeling’ chocolate bars are actually good for you!

Packed with dates and nuts and protein powder these are truly a hit of goodness.

No dairy, cholesterol or refined sugars in site!

Biscuit layer

200g ground almonds

100macadamia nuts

50g pecans

2tbs Algarve nectar

2tbs coconut oil

1tb peanut butter

1scoop protein powder


300 medjool dates

1 coconut oil

200ml almond milk

100ml water

1tsp vanilla paste

1tsp sea salt

chocolate coating

4 tbs coconut oil

3 tbs cocoa powder

2 agave Nectar




  1. Blend biscuit layer and push into tray (my tray is 30cm X15cm but most sizes will work …will just be thicker or thinner) lined with baking paper and freeze until next stage is done.
  2. Blend dates, salt, coconut oil and vanilla THEN SLOWLY add the almond milk and water. Then spread the ‘caramel’ mixture smoothly over the biscuit layer and freeze for at least 4 hours.
  3. Place all ingredients for chocolate layer in large glass bowl and mix until combined. Cut the mould into bars and dunk in the chocolate in one at a time until all covered and then re freeze for at least 3/4 hours.
  4. Enjoy cold from the freezer.
